This post is written for Three Word Wednesday
Mira and Priya, the twin sisters were poles apart. Priya was the amicable and outgoing type. And Mira completely opposite to her. From childhood, Mira kept all her stories to herself while Priya shared everything. As years passed, the two girls turned into beautiful young women. Still, Priya remained everyone's favorite.
It was only few days past their twenty fifth birthday. Mira was consoling her mother. Her mother was crying in an unrefined manner. Her father looked completely blank. Priya was missing since two days. The police had called few minutes ago to inform that her whereabouts were still unknown. Mira was left with a frivolous grin on her face.
Oh god! Few words can create that eerie atmosphere. The last line is a killer !

DeleteMmmm. An interesting scenario. Not realistic though. But, for the sake of the writing exercise, you did well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Francene for your honest feedback! I write with the intention of keeping my stories as real as possible. So wondering why do you feel its not realistic :-)
DeleteThanks again!

Thanks for the coming here and appreciating my work!
DeleteIntriguing! The joy of writing is that it takes you to places which are not necessarily real. That's why I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for dropping by with your positive feedback!
DeleteNever realized sibling rivalry could get so serious!! Nice post :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vidya for dropping by!
DeleteUnexpected turn there. Loved the way you ended the story without telling much but leaving so much to the reader's imagination. Brilliant, Vidya. :)
